As CTO, Barry owns internal support, information systems, information security as well as client facing technologies and product development. He brings over 25 years of experience in all aspects of technology management. His career includes Big Six consulting, Fortune 500 IT management, a Silicon Valley startup, and building nationally recognized, award-winning IT departments at the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
He also worked at the privately held Merkle Inc., where he was directly responsible for recruitment, growing the team from 10 to over 50 staff in a six-year period. During his tenure, he personally hired infrastructure, operations, security, and development staff from entry-level up through the Vice President ranks.
Barry graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Computer Technology and holds an MBA from The George Washington University with a custom concentration in Technology Product Management and Entrepreneurship. As a self proclaimed foodie, Smith currently resides in Maryland with his wife and two daughters.
